Combining beer batter and shrimp what could be better?
Beer Battered Fried Shrimp
These are fantastic, with or without the red pepper!
- 2 pounds Shrimp - shelled
- 1 (12 ounce) can Beer
- 1 cup Flour
- 1 tablespoon Salt
- 1 tablespoon Paprika
- Red Pepper to taste (optional)
Prepare raw fresh shrimp. Pour beer into a mixing bowl. Sift dry ingredients into the beer, and beat with a wire whisk until frothy. While using, whisk lightly from time to time. Batter may be used immediately or stored in the refrigerator for several days. This is also a great light crisp batter for frying vegetables, chicken or game.Print Recipe
