This is a great change from burgers. While Manwich can make it a meal, you can too without using a canned mix.
You don't need a can of sloppy joe mix to make these from scratch.
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 3/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspon pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- In a large non-stick skillet, brown hamburger meat and onion over medium heat for 8-10 minutes or until beef is no longer pink. Pour off drippings. Stir in barbecue sauce, salt, and pepper, heat through, stirring occasionally. Spoon equal amounts of beef mixture on bottom half of each bun. You may top with cheese if desired.
