Why this Pasta Salad Recipe Works

It’s hard to beat the great flavor of the Souper Salad Fettuccine Salad. It’s an easy pasta salad recipe that comes together in minutes. And better than that, it goes with just about everything.

You can make this with beef, chicken, or even seafood. Or you can just eat it on its own as your meal. And did I mention it is even better the next day? Yes!

Fettuccine Salad Recipe Ingredients

The secret ingredient to this recipe is mayonnaise. But not any mayo, it must be real mayonnaise and not Miracle Whip or an alternative. The flavor just works better in this dish.

Here’s a list of what you need:

  • Fettuccine
  • Corn kernels
  • Mayonnaise
  • Garlic Powder
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Salt & Pepper
Ingredients for Fettuccine Salad: fettuccine, mayonnaise, parmesan cheese, corn, garlic powder, and more

How to Make Souper Salad Fettuccine Salad

  1. To make this easy pasta salad recipe, you will first follow the directions to cook the pasta and the corn.
  2. Mix the cooked pasta and corn together in a large bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the mayo, garlic powder, and Parmesan cheese.
  4. Add the sauce to the pasta and corn and season with salt & pepper to taste. It’s that easy!

Recipe Notes

  • Be sure to use the full-flavor of regular mayonnaise and not a substitute like Miracle Whip.
  • This dish is best if you refrigerate it for a couple of hours before serving.
  • When making the pasta, it’s always better to undercook it a little than to overcook it. Be sure to follow the package instructions.

I live in Phoenix. There is a Souper Salad I go to but I usually need to take-out instead of dine-in. Now I am not allowed to take the Fettuccine Salad for take-out. (The rule is its not a soup on the menu) I’m a loyal customer, but this strange way of treating me makes me want to make it at home. Thank you CopyKat for this recipe.

I’m so glad I finally thought to look for a copy cat recipe for this salad! I used to love Souper Salad when I lived in Houston. I tried to guess the ingredients many times but it never tasted authentic. Gonna try this very soon!

I used to work for Souper Salad during college. I have recipes for the Adobe Chicken and Rice, Chicken Enchilada, Ham and Macaroni salad, Mustard Potato Salad,

Souper Salad was a staple of mine when I lived in Houston. I really really liked the Fettuccine Corn salad. I found this recipe awhile ago and I serve it at the Moose Lodge and at my work carry in’s. Everybody loves it and can’t not believe how easy it is to make. So, Ohio now has Souper Salad Fettuccine available!!!! Thanks!!

I just came back from a visit to SouperSalad in El Paso, TX, and twice I ate there, mainly for the Fettuccine Pasta Salad. Absolutely fabulous! The recipe was listed at the salad bar, but he amount of the ingredients was omitted. I am making it tonight! Thank you!

Don’t forget about the green onion! I had this salad there before they closed down (a few months ago in Austin, Tx, anyway) and it also has a little chopped green onion tops.

My husband loves this recipe and NO the corn is used right out of the bag! I use corn right out of the bag and it is frozen. WE BOTH LOVE IT!!!!!

  8. Carebearandrea

I only used 1/2 tsp pepper and I thought it was way too much! Next time (and I will definitally make it again!) I will use only 1/4 tsp and maybe add a little more garlic.

Souper Salad uses a generic commercial vegetable base in powder form to season most of their pasta salads. It’s why no one can figure out the secret.

  10. Tammie

Thank you for the recipe! My daughter LOVES this salad. The last time we were there she asked if I could replicate the recipe for her. Now I don’t have to!

  11. coco

This is probably a silly question, but do you cook the frozen corn??

In this copy cat recipe, you do not need to cook the corn, the corn is used right out of the bag. ~Stephanie

Thank you so much for this recipe. I have wanted it for so long; and how simple it is. Yeah!!! Although everything else at Souper Salad is good too, this is my absolute favorite; it is the most amazing dish they serve. I am so grateful to have found your website. I guarantee I’ll be searching it often.

thank you soooo much!! i lived in texas a few years ago and was a Souper!Salad! addict!!! this was my all time fave thing they had, and since moving back to indiana, i swear i wake up craving this dish! i tried to make it so many times, thinking it was simply noodles, mayo and corn, but it just never tasted the same… i think its the parm and pepper that will change it and an actual measurement to go by. i am trying to make it tonight and im sure it will go much better. thank you so much for posting this yummy crave dish. ill never miss texas, but i will always miss souper salads!

Perhaps Crystal it’s Texans like you with an attitude like that, that people DON’T miss Texas and want to leave it! 🙂

      • ilovemekons

Amen to that Shellylong944. I live in Texas, and believe me, it’s not all that. Lot of Texans like to mythologize the place.

      • stephaniemanley

Why are we hating on Texas so early in the morning 😉 I kinda like the place 😉

59 and 45 both run north. Go…just go. For Heaven’s sake, this starts out with recipes and ends up with idiots wanting to bash Texas. Nobody asked you to come here. Just go.
