Finding my old home economics book from Pueblo, Colorado was a real find. I took Home Economics when I was in junior high school, and this is where I learned a lot about cooking. Back then, we cooked a couple of times a week when we were in class. It was a fun and informational class of where we learned basic cooking techniques. When finding this book I knew I wanted to cook my way through the book, and share these basic cooking techniques with you.
Crisp Dipped Bananas came from the snack chapter of the book. I love cookbooks of old, they did a wonderful job of empowering young people to cook. These Crisp dipped bananas are including in the book because when you come home from school you are hungry and here is a simple snack for you to make. You can make these fairly quickly, and they taste very good.
Ingredients for Crisp Dipped Bananas
You will need 1/2 of a ripe banana, corn flakes, melted butter, milk, and a salt. I think this is wonderful is you drizzle a little honey over this when they are done. So this snack is great for people who are living a gluten free lifestyle.
