Cake Ingredients

  • 8 ounces butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chopped nuts
  • 1 package large marshmallows

Icing ingredients

  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa


Cake Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 
  • Cake Melt butter and cocoa. Pour the rest of ingredients in and mix with the exception of the nuts, add last, and mix again. Pour into an 8 x 11-inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.

  • Place marshmallows on top and place cake back into the hot oven to soften the marshmallows. Remove from oven and press together.

Icing Instructions

  • In a medium-sized bowl combine powdered sugar, vanilla, butter, milk, and cocoa.  Mix with a mixer until well blended.  Frost cake with the icing.
