Entertaining should be easy to do. When my Grandmother would entertain, she would often make a couple of these cheeseballs ahead of time. Growing up we spent the week between Christmas and New Years entertaining in our homes. This was one of the recipes that she would prepare ahead of time.

One of the ways homemade cheese balls made from scratch better is that you can make them up fresh. You can flavor them any way you like. You can change the cheese on this if you like, you can go with a mild cheddar, a medium cheddar, or even a sharp cheddar. I have even added a smoke smoked paprika into one of these for a nice flavor.

I hope you give a try to making your homemade cheeseball, I know you will find it super easy to do. This recipe is from Virginia McDowell, who first made this recipe in 1975. She may have gotten this recipe from a radio show called Partyline in Jefferson City. I can remember listening to this radio show when I would go visit my Grandparents. I hope you enjoy this recipe as well.
