Scrub potatoes with a brush and coat them lightly with vegetable oil.
Bake the potatoes at for 1 hour.
When potatoes are done and have cooled just enough to handle, cut the potatoes in half and scoop out the flesh of the potato. Be careful not to get too close to the edge of the potato.
Place the potato flesh into a bowl.
Add butter, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
Mash the potato flesh with the butter and seasonings.
Fill the hollowed out potato halves with the potato mixture.
Sprinkle paprika on top.
Bake until the tops begin to brown.
Select potatoes that are uniform in size so the baking time will be similar.
