Chess Pie

This is an old-fashioned pie, that you can make with just a few ingredients. Make this pie and bring back some memories with our recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 
  • Cream butter with sugar, salt, and spices. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Add remaining ingredients, pour in unbaked pie shell and bake at 375 degrees for about 35 minutes or until filling thickens.
