Instructions
Cake Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour a 9 X 13-inch baking pan.
Mix together all cake ingredients in a large bowl.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
Remove the cake from the oven and leave it in the pan.
Marshmallow Layer
Immediately after removing the cake from the oven and while the cake is hot, spread 7 ounces of marshmallow cream over the top of the cake.
Icing Directions
Make the icing immediately after spreading the marshmallow cream over the cake. You want to spread the icing over the cake while it is still warm.
Combine 3 tablespoons cocoa, 1 stick butter and 1/3 cup milk in a saucepan and bring it to a boil, stirring constantly.
Remove the chocolate mixture from the heat and add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 box of powdered sugar. Stir or mix until smooth.
Beat well and spread the frosting over the cake while warm.
Let the cake cool completely before serving.
