The Taco Ring is a real show stopper! Mexican seasoned ground beef and cheese are wrapped with crescent roll dough and baked. Get the easy recipe and find out how to make the best taco ring with crescent rolls. Great for Taco Tuesday, Cinco de Mayo, game day, or any fun occasion.
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef until cooked through.
Add the salt, ground black pepper, oregano, paprika, cayenne pepper, cumin, garlic powder, and ½ cup of water (if needed) and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
Remove the ground beef and combine with the shredded cheddar cheese in a large bowl.
Unroll the cans of crescent dough and separate all of the triangles.
On a large baking tray or baking stone, arrange the triangles in a circle so the short ends of the triangles form the circle (the ends will overlap, that’s perfectly fine!)
Spoon the ground beef and cheddar cheese mix onto the crescent rolls, following the circle made by the pieces.
Fold the end of each triangle over the ground beef and into the center of the ring, pressing the dough onto the bottom layer of the crescent roll to secure it.
Repeat the entire way around the ring until all of the triangles have been folded over.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Enjoy!
Recipe Tips
Allow the ground beef to cool a little before adding it to the crescent dough.
If you are struggling to make a circle with the crescent dough, place a small bowl in the center of the baking sheet to use as a guide while you make the circle around the bowl.
