Banana Nut Bread
Make amazing homemade banana nut bread from scratch. It's moist, delicious, and loaded with crunchy pecans.

Ingredients

all-purpose flour

sugar

baking powder

mashed ripe banana
(2 to 3 medium bananas)
▢
1/3
cup
butter
softened
▢

tablespoons
milk
▢

eggs
▢
1/4
cup
chopped nuts
(pecans are recommended)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x4x2-inch loaf pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of flour with the sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add the mashed banana, softened butter, and milk.
Beat with an electric mixer on low speed till blended, and then on high speed for 2 minutes.
Add the eggs and remaining flour. Beat until blended.
Stir in the nuts.
Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
Bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
Cool the bread for 10 minutes in the pan.
Then remove the banana bread from pan, and cool thoroughly on a wire rack.
Wrap and store overnight before slicing.

I love King Arthur all-purpose flour!
Use those
ugly brown bananas
for this recipe.
Be sure to top the bread with extra pecans.
