2tablespoons tomato paste - if desired to make thicker
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped garlic and onion to the pan. Saute garlic and onion to where the onion is almost translucent.
Add in chopped prosciutto to the pan along with the crushed red pepper, and saute until the onions are translucent. When the onions are translucent add in chopped tomatoes and tomato sauce.
Cook for about 2 to 3 minutes stirring from time to time. Add in cream and mix thoroughly. Add in vodka and cook for about an additional five minutes. To serve mix sauce and pasta together before serving, and garnish with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley if desired.
To make the sauce thicker you can add a tablespoon or two of tomato paste if desired.
