Follow the package directions for proofing the croissants. Trader Joe’s frozen croissants take about 6 to 7 hours to thaw and proof.
Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the croissants for 15 to 19 minutes, until they are fully puffed up and browned.
While the croissants are baking, place the butter and honey in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently. When the butter melts, turn off the heat. Continue to occasionally stir the honey butter until ready to serve.
When the croissants have finished baking, remove them from oven. Allow them to cool for 2 to 3 minutes before drizzling the warm honey butter over the warm croissants.
Recipe Tips
🥐 Proofing Perfection: Place croissants 2 inches apart when proofing - they'll double in size and need room to expand.
🍯 Honey Harmony: Heat honey butter mixture on low heat only until melted - overheating can make it separate.
⏰ Timing Truth: Start thawing croissants early in the morning for dinner service - they need a full 6-7 hours to proof properly.
