Instructions
If using frozen pound cake, let it thaw completely. Slice into 3/8-inch slices.
In a chilled mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Chill until ready to assemble.
To assemble the strawberry shortcake, place one slice of pound cake onto a plate and top with about 3 tablespoons of whipped cream. Add a layer of strawberries on top of the whipped cream. Stack a second piece of pound cake on top of the strawberries and top with an additional 3 tablespoons of whipped cream. Layer more strawberries over the whipped cream and serve immediately.
