Expert Tips for Perfect Alice Springs Chicken
Pound chicken to even thickness: This ensures even cooking and more tender meat
Don't skip the marinating time: Even just an hour makes a huge difference in flavor penetration
Cook bacon until extra crispy: It will maintain better texture under the melted cheese
Use freshly grated cheese: Pre-shredded cheese contains anti-caking agents that prevent proper melting
Let chicken rest before assembly: A 5-minute rest after cooking helps the chicken retain its juices
Save some sauce for serving: The extra honey mustard for dipping takes this dish to the next level
Check chicken temperature: Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches 165°F for food safety
