Rocky Road Dessert – plenty of chocolate and nuts surround this light angel food cake.

This was handed down from my Grandmother. It was always requested for a birthday cake instead of the traditional ones. It’s very rich..but oh so good.

My Mom and Grandma use to make something I think is just like this, the only thing I don’t recall is the eggs. Are the egg whites whipped stiff or just mixed? My family has all passed so I have no way of asking and I have been searching the internet like mad and your recipe is the only thing that sounds remotely close. Thank you for your reply!
