From big game tailgates to satisfying everyday snacks, chicken wings are a favorite choice for all sorts of hungry diners. They’re so deliciously craveable that it’s hard to believe they were essentially ignored by cooks until the invention of the famous Buffalo wing in the 1960s.
These days, an incredible number of restaurants offer unique takes on this simple, affordable, and mouthwatering dish. Here’s a look at a few of the best and how to make them right in your home kitchen.
No matter what restaurant you’re craving or what sauce you’re in the mood for, there’s guaranteed to be a recipe on this list to satisfy what you’re looking for. With a little practice (and plenty of wings), you may wonder why you ever spent the time and money eating out! Just make sure you make enough wings — with flavors like these, they can go faster than you’d expect!

San-J Sweet and Tangy Polynesian Glazing and Dipping Sauce comes close. I found mine at Fresh Thyme, but it’s also sold at Wal-Mart Online at a minimum. I also used hickory in a smoke box while cooking the chicken, added a Habanero pepper and pineapple paste blended in a wet/dry spice blender to the sauce…used half to glaze while cooking, and half as a finishing sauce.

I’d also LOVE a Copykat recipe for Ale Emporium’s Hermanaki wings! I spend part of the year in Indianapolis and part of the year in Florida, and in Florida I always go through withdrawal! (I swear I could live on the Hermanaki boneless chicken fingers!)
Courtney

I’m looking for T.K.s six pack, zesty Italian wing sauce. It’s not a bottle of the dressing it’s something different it’s dark in color and has a kick. If you could help I’d appreciate it. It’s located in Altoona and Hollidaysburg, Pa.
Stephanie
i am sorry I have never heard of this before.

Reguardless of what your favorite baked wings are, steam them first for 13 min then proceed with the rest of the recipe. Steaming cuts the oven time by 20 % and insures an extremely moist result. 5-6 min under the broiler and you are back to crispy wings or you can finish them off on the grill.
Stephanie Manley
I will have to try your technique soon, I am certainly intrigued by this.
bastisraul
It really works great but if you don’t want crisp wings just skip the broiler or grill step.
