Why This Recipe Works
Swiss Chalet’s BBQ sauce stands apart from typical barbecue sauces with its lighter, herb-forward profile and unique tang. This recipe perfectly captures that distinctive flavor through a careful balance of chicken bouillon, aromatic herbs, and just the right amount of acidity from tomato juice and lemon. The cornstarch thickening creates that signature smooth consistency that clings beautifully to chicken and other grilled meats.

I am Canadian, moved to States. I have been dying for Swiss Chalet… I actually spent 40 dollars buying the little packages on Ebay. I am extremely picky…Extremely and this is almost identical to the “Swiss Chalet Dipping Sauce”. I love it and make it all the time with fresh cut home made french fries and pull apart buns along with a store bought rotisserie chicken. ITS AMAZING! Follow the instructions EXACTLY. Mix cornstarch seperately and add slowly. You may need to add more but it tastes off if you add too much so do it slow.

Just made this sauce…this is Chalet sauce not BBQsauce…
With all the spices and flavors in this sauce I thought it would be overpowering but it turned out delicious. I will be making this one again.
