Why This Recipe Works
This Air Fryer Salmon Almondine achieves restaurant-quality results through a brilliant combination of technique and timing. The air fryer creates the perfect environment for salmon, circulating hot air to cook it evenly without the risk of drying it out. Unlike traditional pan-searing methods that can easily overcook fish, the air fryer maintains a consistent temperature that allows the salmon to reach the ideal 145°F internal temperature while remaining moist and tender. Meanwhile, the lemon-butter sauce with toasted almonds provides the perfect balance of richness, acidity, and texture that complements the natural fattiness of salmon. The slight bitterness from the toasted almonds cuts through the richness of the salmon and butter, creating a harmonious bite every time. This method removes the guesswork from cooking fish, making it accessible even for novice cooks while delivering results that will impress even the most discerning dinner guests.

Hi Stephanie,
It looks like you may be using a Gourmia brand air fryer? (I LOVE the ONE BASKET feature.) If so, I set mine at 390º for 7-8 minutes for the salmon I get at Costco. Always turns out perfect. I’m sure the same applies if you set the temp lower and ‘up’ the time, as you recommend.
It took me a long time before I “sprung” for this latest kitchen gadget, even though I’m a kitchen gadget fanatic. But, so glad I did. I use it all the time. Never imagined THAT would be the case.
How about YOU? Do you find you use it more than you anticipated?
I use the air fryer far more than I thought I would. I use mine 2 or 3 times a week. I use it for a variety of things. I think it is especially wonderful during the summer!
