Olive Garden Berry Sangria is a light and refreshing beverage. Olive Garden offers a couple of different types of sangria and this one is made with fresh berries, red wine, and fruit juice.
Everyone knows and loves the Olive Garden. Many people dine there regularly to enjoy its home-style Italian cuisine with its freshly made sauces and breadsticks. Instead of ordering a bottle of wine with your meal, you might want to drink something that is lighter but still has a bit of alcoholic zing, such as sangria.
Sangria is a light, refreshing beverage especially perfect for lunch, and the Olive Garden gives you two choices, their regular sangria, and their Berry Sangria.

About the Olive Garden Berry Sangria
Many sangrias are flavored with several types of alcohol, but the Olive Garden Berry Sangria is delightfully simply – just wine, fruit juices, and fresh fruit. This sangria goes down more smoothly and easily than a much stiffer drink.
When making this Berry Sangria, you can take advantage of whichever fruit is in season and entices you with its beauty and freshness at your local market – blueberries, blackberries, strawberries are all good to use.
Ingredients
Here’s a list of what you need:
- Red wine
- Cran-raspberry juice
- Simple syrup
- Fresh berries such as strawberries, blackberries, or blueberries
How to Make Olive Garden Sangria
- Pour all ingredients except the fresh fruit into a large container and stir well to combine.
- Refrigerate the sangria for a couple of hours before serving.
- When serving, place ice and fresh fruit in a glass. Fill the glass with sangria and garnish the glass with a strawberry.

What Wine to Use for Sangria
When making sangria, you can use almost any type of wine that you enjoy. I personally prefer a wine that isn’t too sweet but has a nice fruity character to it such as Merlot, Shiraz, and Rosé.
And, if you are on a wine budget, making Sangria is a great way to stretch a bottle of wine.
Do Take Care With Your Measurements
I have to relate a story about my experience with making Sangria for a tapas party I held. I didn’t measure my ingredients very accurately, and I ended up pouring about half a bottle of orange liquor into my sangria.
A wonderful mistake? – it was sooo tasty! However, about an hour into the party, I was wondering why I felt so tipsy! So learn from this and measure all of your sangria ingredients carefully.
