Who doesn’t love the taste of a frappuccino recipe? This Copycat Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino may be the best way to enjoy a delicious iced coffee drink.
Why this Frappuccino Recipe Works
I always joke that it’s the sugar in my coffee that gets me going way before the caffeine. I like my coffee sweet with a hint of coffee flavor. To be fair though I don’t drink coffee often, it’s normally a treat. You can recreate that famous taste at home with your own homemade frappuccino recipe.
Starbucks caramel drinks are the best. The caramel frappuccino has always been a popular drink at the famous coffee house. In fact, their website states that it’s “hands down” the most popular Starbucks Frappuccino recipe. And it’s easy to see why!

How to Make a Copycat Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino
You start with a coffee base, add in some caramel for flavoring, a bit of milk, some ice, blend the ingredients together well, and top with whipped cream. And more caramel on top of course. It’s easy to make at home and a perfect way to treat yourself without going through the drive-thru line. Here’s what you need:
- Cooled coffee
- Milk
- Caramel syrup
- Whipped Cream
- Caramel sauce
- Ice
Notes
- I suggest grabbing some caramel syrup to have on hand. It’s great in the caramel frappuccino, but also any coffee drink. Some people think it is sweetened condensed milk that makes this drink thick, but I think it is caramel syrup.
- This recipe does not contain any chocolate syrup either, but if you want to add some, feel free to add some chocolate syrup.
- You can also do a shot of espresso, instant espresso, instant coffee, cold brew coffee, or use day-old coffee like I did!
- If you want a lighter version you can use skim milk, or if you want to you can use almond milk or my new favorite cashew milk.
If you don’t have an espresso maker you may want to consider using instant espresso. Espresso is slightly different than coffee as the water is steamed through the coffee, so it is a little stronger than traditional drip coffee. Here is a brand of instant espresso that I like. Medaglia D’Oro Instant Espresso Coffee, 2 Oz. You may also want to consider using a tool that Italians use to make espresso at home. The Bialetti Mocha pot is how Italians have been making espresso at home. These coffee pots are less than 30 dollars and make real Italian espresso. Bialetti Moka Express 3 Cup Espresso Maker 06799
is a great way to make espresso at home.

My frappe came out exactly like the one I get at Starbucks! I have a fantastic blender (Vitamix brand) and I believe it had the biggest component to achieving the Starbucks quality. I used starbucks coffee , torini caramel, and reddi whip . I encourage everyone to get a quality blender because when your c h e a p and don’t get something that works you will have a hard time performing well in the kitchen.

Starbucks adds a Carmel flavor syrup to this drink. I always ask them to add a few extra pumps to mine. You can buy something like it at Walmart and I believe you can even buy the Starbucks brand. I would suggest adding that if you’d like a little extra flavor.

I am sorry, the recipe sometimes disappears. It’s a glitch.

Made exactly as stated. Taste NOTHING like Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts! Consistency and taste are way off!

What type of blender are you using?

Had the same problem! Using a cuisenart blender

How does the ice not separate when blending? When I try doing this, the ice doesn’t blend too well. I heard that Starbucks uses some type of emulsifier ingredient and that’s what makes it blend well. What are your thoughts?
