Keto Friendly Chicken Divan is a great low carb chicken casserole your whole family can enjoy. Based on the classic Chicken Divan recipe, this recipe removes the carbs, but the flavor remains.
Keto Friendly Chicken Divan is the perfect casserole!
This Keto friendly chicken divan recipe is perfect for when you need to reduce the carbs and you want to enjoy classic casseroles you have loved your whole life. This recipe was originally created with broccoli, almonds, the classic and carb-heavy Mornay sauce.
In this recipe, the sauce is substituted for mayonnaise. The mayonnaise helps to make the whole casserole stay moist and full of flavor. You won’t miss having pasta or other starch in this casserole.
Low Carb Chicken Casserole perfection
This recipe uses pre-cooked chicken. I often simply poach inexpensive bone-in split chicken breasts for about 20 to 25 minutes and use these. The split chicken breasts are a lot cheaper than the boneless skinless chicken breasts we so often buy.
I then quickly remove the skin and ribs and throw the chicken into my Bosch mixer with my cookie paddles, and it beautifully shreds the chicken breast. To make cooking this even easier, I purchase frozen broccoli and use that for the recipe. Frozen broccoli has already been blanched, so it makes cooking a breeze.
One bite and your whole family is going to love this low carb chicken broccoli divan! It’s easy to prepare and is rich and filling. Did I mention, it reheats well too!

I made this yesterday at home and guess what it turned out really amazing and delicious, but I used fresh broccoli which didn’t make any big difference in the taste.
Thank you and keep sharing:)

Can fresh broccoli be used instead of frozen? Also, I noticed that in the Nutrition Facts, it has a lot of sodium, cholesterol, and the calories from fat are very high…is this healthy? I value your opinion. Thank you in advance…
Stephanie
Yes, you can use fresh broccoli, you will need to steam it before simply baking it. This recipe is high fat and higher protein. This recipe is meant for people following the low-carb and keto diet. Both of those two diets emphasize fat and protein. If you are following a low-fat diet, this isn’t the recipe that is appropriate for your personal diet.

This was a great casserole. I added some chopped garlic.

Is that really 3lbs cheese or should it be 3cups cheese
Stephanie Manley
Yes, it’s really 3 pounds. You can add less if you desire. Nutritional information was calculated for 3 pounds.
