Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs beaten until fluffy
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

Instructions

  • Cream together shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs in, and mix well. Sift together the dry ingredients, and add this to the creamed shortening mixture. Add bananas, buttermilk, and vanilla. Beat until well mixed. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
