- Taco seasoning mix – Adds classic Tex-Mex flavor
- Olive oil – Helps cook the beef evenly
- Onion – Adds sweetness and depth
- Cilantro – Brings freshness and brightness
- Tomato purée – Adds moisture and richness
- Flour tortillas – Holds the filling together
- Lettuce – Adds crunch and freshness
- Red cabbage – Adds texture and color
- Cherry tomatoes – Brings acidity and sweetness

How to Make Tacos with Ground Beef
- In a large bowl, mix the beef with the taco seasoning mix.
- Heat a large pan over medium-high heat with oil. Add beef to the pan and break it with a large wooden spatula by keeping some space in between them. Reduce the heat to medium. Let cook until the bottom is brown then flip.
- Add onion, garlic, cilantro, and tomato purée and mix to combine.
- Decrease the heat to medium-low, then cook for about 3-5 minutes while stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat.
- Warm each tortilla in a nonstick skillet for about 10 seconds.
- Start the filling by adding lettuce and red cabbage, then ground beef.
- Place cooked ground beef on the lettuce and cabbage.
- Top with cherry tomato, sweet corn, guacamole, lime, and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
- Serve immediately.

Ground Beef Tacos Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning mix homemade, or your favorite pacage mix
- 1/2 cup chopped white onion
- 3 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
- 3/4 cup tomato puree
- 8 white tortillas
Taco Toppings
- 1 cup lettuce cut into ribbons
- 1/4 cup sliced red cabbage
- 1 ear grilled sweet corn optional
- 1/2 cup guacamole
- 2 limes quartered
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix beef with Taco seasoning mix.
- Heat a large pan over medium high heat with oil. Add beef in the pan and break with a large wooden spatula by keeping some space in between them. Decrease heat to medium. Let cook until the bottom is brown then flip. It will take about 3 minutes.

- Prepare taco. Warm each tortilla in a nonstick skillet for about 10 seconds. Start the filling by adding lettuce and red cabbage then ground beef. Top with cherry tomato, sweet corn, guacamole, lime and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
I recommend my homemade taco seasoning mix, but you could use your favorite package of Taco Seasoning mix or add the following:
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
