Ingredients
Crust
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can mushrooms
- 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1/2 cup cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
Filling
- 1 3/4 cup Minute Rice
- 12 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided use
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- To make the crust, combine all the crust ingredients and mix well. Pat the mixture into a pie pan and set aside.
- To make the filling, combine the rice, tomato sauce, water, salt, and 1 cup of the cheddar cheese. Pour the mixture into the crust.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Uncover and sprinkle with the remaining cheddar cheese. Return the pie uncovered to the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes.
