Ingredients

Crust

  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste

Filling

  • 1 3/4 cup Minute Rice
  • 12 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided use

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • To make the crust, combine all the crust ingredients and mix well. Pat the mixture into a pie pan and set aside.
  • To make the filling, combine the rice, tomato sauce, water, salt, and 1 cup of the cheddar cheese. Pour the mixture into the crust.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Uncover and sprinkle with the remaining cheddar cheese. Return the pie uncovered to the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes.
